Workflows For Setting Up Price Lists

For experienced users who need a fast reference.


Prerequisites

  • Access to HQ (Head Office system)
  • Manager or admin permissions
  • Clear idea of pricing scenarios needed

How Price Lists Work

  • Unlimited price lists can be created
  • Any price lists can be assigned to each product (not required to use all)
  • Fallback behavior: If product lacks active till’s price list, system uses another available list
  • Till assignment: Different tills can use different price lists

Scenario 1: Two Stores, Different Pricing

How To Create a Price List

  1. Open Price Lists Screen → Go to Products → Price Lists
  2. Create New Price List
  3. Click + button
  4. Enter Name (e.g., “Takeaway”, “Member”, “Happy Hour”)
  5. Enter Number (for internal organization)
  6. Click Save

Best practice: Use clear, descriptive names your team will understand

Best practice: Number logically (1 = standard, 2 = member, 3 = promo)


3. Assign to Products

  1. Go to Products page → Open product
  2. In Pricing section, click +
  3. Enter price for this price list
  4. Select price list from dropdown
  5. Click Save

Quick Edit

Go to Products → Price Lists

  1. Click (3 dots) on price list
  2. Select Edit
  3. Update name (number locked if prices exist)
  4. Click Save

⚠️ Important: Name changes affect all products and tills immediately


Default Price Lists (Advanced)

Configure which price list each till uses by default.

Hierarchy (specific overrides general):

  1. Organisation level → All tills
  2. Site level → All tills at location
  3. Location level → All tills in area
  4. Till level → Specific till

Where to configure:

  • Settings → Till Configuration section

✅ Keep it simple - most businesses work well with 2-4 price lists

✅ Use descriptive names, not just numbers

✅ Number price lists logically for easier management
