Having issues completing sales or taking payments? Find solutions below.


Q: What happens if I try to discount more than the sale total?

A: System automatically adjusts to prevent over-discounting.

How it works:

  • You enter discount larger than subtotal
  • System automatically reduces discount
  • Brings subtotal to exactly $0
  • Won’t allow negative totals

Example:

Subtotal: $50
You enter: $75 discount
System applies: $50 discount
Result: $0 subtotal

Q: Can I remove items after taking a partial payment?

A: Some functions restricted after partial payment.

What you CAN do:

  • Apply additional discounts
  • Add more items
  • Take more payments
  • Complete the sale

What you CANNOT do:

  • Cancel the sale
  • Some modification functions limited

If major changes needed:

  • Process refund for partial payment
  • Then modify sale as needed
  • Re-apply payments

Q: What’s the difference between Split Payment and Split Bill?

A: Different purposes for different scenarios.

Split Payment:

  • One customer
  • Using multiple payment methods
  • Example: Customer pays $50 cash + $30 card

Split Bill:

  • Multiple customers
  • Each paying their portion
  • Example: 4 friends splitting dinner bill

Q: How do I cancel a sale?

A: Must cancel BEFORE any payments applied.

Steps:

  1. Press Cancel Sale button
  2. Confirm cancellation
  3. Sale clears

⚠️ After partial payment:

  • Cancel option no longer available
  • Must process refund instead

Q: Can I apply a discount after taking a partial payment?

A: Yes, discounts can be applied after partial payments.

How to:

  1. Take partial payment
  2. Type discount amount/percentage
  3. Press Fixed/Percent Discount button
  4. Discount applies to remaining balance
  5. Complete sale

  • Sale must not be finalized
