How to Set Up Stock Locations

Stock locations represent real physical places in your venue where stock exists — fridges, shelves, freezers, storage rooms.

Create or Enable a Stock Location

Example: Setting up Main Bar at The Beach Cafe

  1. Go to HQ → Site Locations
  2. Find Main Bar (or create a new location)
  3. Click ⋯ → Edit Details
  4. Tick Stores Stock
  5. Set Draws From → Main Bar
  6. Click Save

Your location will now track stock levels and movements.

Best Practice: After setting up a location, perform a test sale and confirm stock deducts correctly.

💡 Tip: Changes to stock configuration update instantly across tills.

⚠️ Important: For sales-only locations (tills that don’t physically hold stock), configure them as follows:

Product Draw Rules (Overrides)

Sometimes a product is sold in one location but stored in another.

💡 Example: At The Beach Cafe, kegs are stored in the Keg Room but beer is poured from taps at the Main Bar.

Add a Product Draw Rule

  1. Go to Stock → Product Draw Rules
  2. Click Add Product Draw Rules
  3. Select the Product Tag (example: Kegs)
  4. Set the rule:

  1. Click Create

The system will now deduct keg stock from the Keg Room even when sold at the bar.

Remove a Product Draw Rule

  1. Search for the rule
  2. Tick the rule
  3. Click Remove Rules

The product will revert to the default Draws From location.
