Time Periods
Time Periods is for broader date-range discounts — a “Beer of the Week” or “Meal of the Month” — where you don’t need to specify days of the week or a time-of-day window. You set a start and end date, generate your discount rules, and the promo applies throughout that date range.

How Time Periods differs from Happy Hours
The Only Difference: Time Periods has no Periods window. There is no day-of-week selection and no time slider. You set a Start and End date, then go straight to Rules. Everything else — the list view, buttons, General settings, and the Generate Rules wizard — works identically to Happy Hours.
| Happy Hours | Time Periods | |
|---|---|---|
| Date range | Yes | Yes |
| Day-of-week selection | Yes | No |
| Time-of-day window | Yes | No |
| Best for | Recurring daily time-slot deals | Broader campaigns (e.g. Beer of the Month) |
How to create a Time Period promo
Follow the same steps as Happy Hours, with one change:
- Skip the Periods section — it does not exist in Time Periods. The overall Start and End date define the entire active window.
The Generate Rules wizard (Steps 1–3), the rules table, hotkeys, and the Revert/Create buttons all work exactly the same way.
After saving: Go back to the Time Periods page and press Refresh Data to see your new promo appear in the list.
Remember: Once saved, go to Priority to confirm your Time Period promo sits in the correct position relative to your Happy Hours promos. Happy Hours promos should generally sit higher in the order.
